What the heck is a hierophant?
The hierophant (pictured on this card) is a master of learning who is now ready to impart lessons to others. You, my dear reader, are the hierophant.
In January, we profess new beginnings.
In February, we see how many we’ve not addressed.
In March we take stock to learn about ourselves and use this new knowledge to live our best lives!
The hierophant is dressed in an undergarment of white and surrounded by white. White is the color of spirit and our crown chakra. The over-robe is red, the color of groundedness and our root chakra.
There are so many meanings to the root chakra: safety, security, connection, the present, material foundations. Now is the time to take stock of how you are grounded in spirituality - or, how is spirituality expressed in your connection and feelings of security? Are you someone who trusts that situations will work out?
The hierophant also has blue on his undergarment, which seems to have a turtleneck as well. S/he is holds the energy of the throat chakra - listening, speaking and making decisions- as part of the sacred responsibility of grounding.
Above all else, the hierophant wears a crown of gold, or yellow (the color of solar plexus energy). Holding true to yourself is always the most important energy. Being you, expressing yourself from a calm, secure place with faith in the Universe is how to march forward in life.
